Born and raised in South Seattle, Solomon Calvert-Adera studied environmental science and ethno-botany at Kalamazoo College. After moving home in 2019, Solomon worked as a teacher, farmer, and environmental activist before joining the OETC team in October of 2024. Solomon’s strong work ethic is always on display, and is demonstrated through his ever-evolving climbing prowess and strong attention to detail in his pruning technique. A love for the natural world is the through thread in Solomon’s life, bridging his work and his love for the arts, food, and community.
