ABOUT US

CORY OSTERHOUDT
ISA Certified Arborist
Cory grew up among the cornfields and mixed forests of Iowa and has been cultivating a deep love for the ecology of Western Washington since his teenage years. His connection to plants and the natural world began early, sparked by environmental science classes in school, involvement in Scouts, and hands-on gardening and landscaping jobs.

After high school, Cory joined the Washington Conservation Corps, where he worked on stream and wetland restoration projects focused on regenerating salmon habitats. He later earned his B.S. in Environmental Science from Western Washington University, with an emphasis on watershed, stream, forest, and wetland ecology.

Cory’s passion for plants has evolved into a personal enthusiasm for bonsai, plant aesthetics, and soil health. As an ISA Certified Arborist and skilled climber, he brings that care and knowledge into his work—helping clients make thoughtful, balanced decisions about tree care. His goal is to support safe and ecologically beneficial landscapes, promoting practices that preserve as much of the urban forest as possible while addressing safety and risk management.
